In-Home Consultation: $50
This is a private lesson on how to curb habits your dog may exhibit that are detrimental to the household, or perhaps you have a few behavior modifications you would like to make, and need help with. During this time, we will review the breed characteristics of your dog in order to understand why they are behaving a certain way, and we will go over a list of exercises that will help change the problem behaviors. The session will last approximately one hour and you will receive a write-up of your dog's breed characteristics as well as the behavior modification exercises we will perform during the one-hour session.
Readying for New Baby: $50
If you have a baby on the way, and want to make sure it is a smooth transition for all members of the family, two and four legged, I can help you get ready for the new bundle of joy! We will discuss behaviors to look for, how to modify them, and how to get your dog ready for those times when your baby is crying for long periods of time. Leadership skills and ranking of your dog will be worked on heavily.
Exercise Walks: $13 each*
Half hour, brisk walks around your neighborhood to get out your dog's energy during the day while you are working, doing errands, or at appointments. Getting your dog's energy out can decrease the likelihood of in-home destructive behavior! The intensity level of the walk will depend on the size, age and exercise needs of your dog. This time can also just be leisurely "sniffing time" around your neighborhood to give your dog a break during the day.
Training Walks: $18 each*
This is also a half hour walk, but during the walk I will use treats (to be approved/supplied by you, the owner) in order to keep your dog's focus on me. During the walk I will ask your dog for sit, sit-stay, down, down-stay and other behaviors. By working on behaviors during the walk, your dog will learn to listen to you, and look to you for leadership. Should your dog be a puller (mine is!), I can help train your dog on a head collar during this time, to make for much nicer walks.
Cat Sitting (yes, they're included, too!): $12/visit
My visit with your kitties will include snuggling (if applicable....), feeding, changing of water and litterbox cleaning. I have two cats of my own, and have taken care of many before, and would love to help out with yours!
*Packages are available for the walks. Ten exercise walks can be purchased for $125, while ten training walks can be purchased for $170. Walks are limited to Framingham, Natick and Sudbury, Massachusetts.
